Once upon a time, small, useful objects existed in homes. For smoking rather than sewing, for serving rather than displaying: they dotted the living spaces. Giuseppe Chigiotti, in designing ?Ping,? thinks back to those now-obscure times.
This minimalist and highly elaborate chair is a re-design of the classic model No. 14. The designer divided its six pieces by two and 002 emerged – a chair made from only three pieces. Two of them – the manually processed bends – are identical and form legs, backrest and armrests all in one.
Anapo’s collection of tables, in the rectangular and circular version and in different sizes including a side table. Its inspiration lies in the Sixties and in a specific idea of middle-class home torn between rigour and softness, luxury and functionality, indifferent to passing fads.
Created in 1958 for the interior of the Chamber of Commerce of Milan, this chair is designed to combine comfort and stackability. The same concept was revived for contemporary settings, but with a fundamental difference: unlike the iron frame of the original project, it is now in warm ash wood.
