A Scandinavian design, this chair is in keeping with their taste for fresh minimalist shapes and corners, combined with simplicity and colours that both enhance and compliment a room. The name comes from the two “fins†at the rear of the chair, the coupling between the frame and the base. The Sharky chair is the winner of the Interior Innovation Award 2015.
The Dunas xs seating sellection arises from the pursuit of a transversal design that can take its place amongst the most diverse spaces and styles. Refinement, neutrality, formal clarity and essential elegance are the marks of identity of this versatile collection of chairs and armchairs designed by Christophe Pillet.
The chair, inspired by a model from 1930 by Josef Hoffmann, blends his interest in Art Nouveau and simple shapes with manufacturing processes applied in Bystrice pod Hostynem since 1861. The armchair is therefore more geometrical, but bears the clear features of the manual bending technique of TON.
A chair deliberately abstract in its composition and, for this reason, comfortable in unpredictable ways. Seemingly carved into a block, Toy speaks a language of sharp and broad plans that make it different from other molded polypropylene chairs. In this connotation Toy is unique even within the design corpus of Philippe Starck.
Versatile, comfortable and friendly, this chair is realized with curved wood structure. It can be with or without armrests, and has a multi-layer body covered in leather, fabric or velvet. The version without armrests is stackable up to 4 chairs.
