Gople?s elementary shape enhances the beauty of the hand- made blown glass. The white version is made following an age-old Venetian technique that fuses white glass with crystal, combining them both during blowing and thus making each piece unique.
While the air bubbles in the glass dome of the IRIS luminaire, created by designer Sebastian Herkner, are reminiscent of underwater worlds,unlike the portable version, the on/off switch is protruding and has a knurled rotary knob. The diamond knurling gives this a tactile touch and breaks up the clean design of the aluminium base.
