Drawing inspiration from the Japanese philosophy of Boketto, a practice rooted in the art of non-doing and peaceful reflection, the Boketto Sofa is defined by gently rounded rectangles, offering a soothing, cohesive look. Inspired by the idea of a parlour – a space designed for entertaining, socialising, and relaxation – the Parlour series by Jonas Wagell includes a lounge chair and a complementary ottoman. With pronounced piping details defining the shape, the lounge chair?s sweeping backrest is seamlessly attached to the round, voluminous seat.
Created in 1958 for the interior of the Chamber of Commerce of Milan, this chair is designed to combine comfort and stackability. The same concept was revived for contemporary settings, but with a fundamental difference: unlike the iron frame of the original project, it is now in warm ash wood.
The Unnia SOFT collection originates in the combination of comfortable seats and upholstered backrests, with or without arms, with fixed or swivel bases.
