The Bcn stool was the result of exploring how new materials can be used to create furniture. The main feature of the stool is the design of the seat. The seat was ergonomically designed by specialists to maximize comfort. The final shape required a huge developmental effort during the design phase.
The stool is made from a type of plastic called PBT (polybutylene terephthalate) which is rather unusual in the furniture industry. Previously, the most common use for this type of plastic was for insulation in the electronics industry because it is very strong and it is resistant to both heat and solvents. Over time the Bcn stool from Kristalia has become a design product that is recognized and appreciated not only as a stylish seat for use in your kitchen, but also it has been chosen by many architects and interior designers for use in bars, pubs, hotels and restaurants.
Finishes:
Metal base in chrome or matching seat colour, polybutylene terephthalate seat in white, black, flouro green or red coral

It’s one of just a few designs by architect Viggo Boesen, who became associated with Denmark’s signature design aesthetic in the 1930s called funkis style. Little Petra is surprisingly […]
“MT”, or the initials that calls these pieces designed by Ron Arad, are pronounced in English as “empty”. The void is the key element of this project. The volume, made through a rotational molding, is in fact carved and shows provocatively the inside, finished in different colors. From the typological point of view also worth […]
The BARDOT tube version stands out for its elegance and shine, which amplifies its stylistic figure with new structures, new pastel shades and vibrant colors, and refined and current finishes. The structure is lightened with clean legs thanks to the use of the metal rod. A pleasantly soft and graceful design, that of the new […]
