The Unnia SOFT collection originates in the combination of comfortable seats and upholstered backrests, with or without arms, with fixed or swivel bases. In keeping with the same philosophy applied to the rest of the Unnia family, seats and backrests can be combined with one or two fabrics to create original combinations.
The deep and rounded seat invites to relax and talk. A perfect balance of the volume of the body which perfectly combines with the characteristic support structure, thus defining a new idea of ??the “cockpit” type. Even a classical image, as a railed chair, in the hands of Philippe Starck acquires a particular connotation. In Pip-e, the sequence of horizontal elements, which create the seat and back definetly, takes on a strong chiaroscuro and goes, unexpectedly, to accompany the bending of the knees.
Design has recently begun to reread the last 80s, a period full of hedonistic sings. Ludovica and Roberto Palomba embrace this input in a collection for driade that combines some of this aesthetic hallmarks as straight cast-aluminium structure elegantly painted and damier decoration.
