Many years ago, at its beginning, Lord Yo was simply a polypropylene easy chair with an aluminum structure, now it’s an icon. Recognized and recognizable anywhere and by anyone. It took Philippe Starck to carry out such an extraordinary stunt, built with soft curves and raised back, almost a throne, and slightly bent legs. The Dunas xs seating sellection arises from the pursuit of a transversal design that can take its place amongst the most diverse spaces and styles. Refinement, neutrality, formal clarity and essential elegance are the marks of identity of this versatile collection of chairs and armchairs designed by Christophe Pillet.
The chair, inspired by a model from 1930 by Josef Hoffmann, blends his interest in Art Nouveau and simple shapes with manufacturing processes applied in Bystrice pod Hostynem since 1861. The armchair is therefore more geometrical, but bears the clear features of the manual bending technique of TON.
A diamond changes into a seat: faceted from a thousand veins that reflect light, Meridiana transforms the lines of construction and power in lines of poetry. Suspended in its thin metal structure, it shines in its transparency or its sophisticated nuances.
The deep and rounded seat invites to relax and talk. A perfect balance of the volume of the body which perfectly combines with the characteristic support structure, thus defining a new idea of ??the “cockpit” type. Balù provides numerous chromatic variations and ton sur ton or neutral shades foreseen by the colors of the collection. […]
