The Split chair with arms links our more than 150-year-old technology with contemporary design. It is based on manually bent split lengths of massive wood; which, at the same time, are both a design and functional element of seating furniture – it supports the seat and also the backrest. It is elegantly slid in, behind the seat made also from massive wood.

Comfort and distinctive are the keywords for describing the Root lounge chair. The backrest is outlined with natural and organic curves, and the irregular hollow design flows freely, making Root an iconic piece. The chair feels like a hug thanks to its softness and fluffy back. It is an invitation to relax.
The chair, inspired by a model from 1930 by Josef Hoffmann, blends his interest in Art Nouveau and simple shapes with manufacturing processes applied in Bystrice pod Hostynem since 1861. The armchair is therefore more geometrical, but bears the clear features of the manual bending technique of TON.
