The Merano chair combines the bottom design made of solid wood with harmonic shapes of bent plywood in the seat and backrest. Thanks to the production technology used, it is remarkably light and does not contain any screws or metal pieces. Together with the bar stool, it creates a set with the Merano armchair.
Dam is a transversal small seat, characterized by a wrapping and comfortable well recognizable backrest. Seat, lumbar support and backrest/armrests are the three elements that, held together in an invisible way. The chair, inspired by a model from 1930 by Josef Hoffmann, blends his interest in Art Nouveau and simple shapes with manufacturing processes applied in Bystrice pod Hostynem since 1861. The armchair is therefore more geometrical, but bears the clear features of the manual bending technique of TON.
This minimalist and highly elaborate chair is a re-design of the classic model No. 14. The designer divided its six pieces by two and 002 emerged – a chair made from only three pieces. Two of them – the manually processed bends – are identical and form legs, backrest and armrests all in one.
