Lazada
Designed by Noe Ducaufour-Lawrance
Snug and cosy, like the sweet refuge of an embrace, Shelter draws its inspiration from a design that has gone down in the history of modern seating: the Egg armchair designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1958 for the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. Following in the footsteps of this iconic design, and above all echoing the theme of the relationship between an object and its space, designer and interior architect Noé Duchaufour–Lawrance has created an armchair that is extremely simple and light in its design, as well as being very comfortable. The challenge lay in creating a clearly legible boundary between the interior of the seat, viewed as an intimate inner space, and the shell, which is the structural, architectural space. Two separate entities, but bound together by a harmonious relationship, created by the interplaying curves that give Shelter armchair a unique charm and desirability.

Angle’s collection of accent table collection with fine table top set on a slim metal base. The rounded top corner and the metal structure creates a set of unique angles. The designer plays with those angles and the negative space to achieve the light yet sturdy look. It is balanced, decorative and timeless.
Baobab is characterised by the contrast of the full rounded form of the seat with the fine and elegant profile of the back. The result, quite apart from its unique personality is a very pleasing, comfortable and eye catching piece.
An historical project that fascinates us once again thanks to the current ergonomic value of the split between the headrest and lumbar support: an advanced concept for its time when it was presented, now made even more effective by modern upholstery in varying degrees of thickness. The curved tubular structure, typical example of twentieth century […]
