Lazada
Designed by Pearson Lloyd
A keen observation of nature and the study of contemporary environments has inspired the London studio Pearson Lloyd in creating a highly original and timeless item, capable of bringing a fresh, new perspective in fulfilling everyday needs: helping us to live better, but also to look beyond the mere objects themselves and the clichés attached to them. The Polar project kicked off in 2006 with the creation of a multi-functional item, freely usable as a chair or table, and since then has evolved into a complete collection of furniture pieces marked by fl uid and organic forms. Today this “work in progress” takes on new opportunities with Polar Perch: a pair of curved elements ofuneven height, that can be placed alongside on another to create multiple compositions, thanks to their complementary shape. The lower element becomes a relaxing sofa, while the higher element can be used as a seating support, ideal for the more dynamic situations. An innovative furnishing concept that allows you to create multiple solutions in widely diverse communal areas: be it a waiting room, a hotel lobby, or a public establishment.

Oblique corners reminding of ancient obelisk shapes, creating an architectural play of light and shadow. Full volumes seem to float above the floor, on hidden base. Crystal is a collection of sofas and armchairs away from ordinary standards and clichés which gives birth to a suspended and dynamic effect with no need of aesthetical devices. […]
Stone is a new system of modular sofas with simple, easy shapes but rich in elements and with enough assembling choice to fulfill the needs of the widest range of public areas. Soft and comfortable, they draw upon the roundness of stones honed by flowing water, and come in a wide range of upholstery. Stone […]
Quilt is born from a desire to go beyond the latest design fad, offering a system of cushioned sofas that fit perfectly into both the home and contract environment. Its quilted stitching immediately communicates a feeling of comfort and a sense of luxury. The sofa is available in different sizes with a chromed-steel base; the […]
A steel bar with a vaguely industrial feel, onto which one can fasten elements made of highly characterful materials: wood, leather, fabric and metal painted in primary geometric forms that give rise to always different architectures, both fascinating and surprising. Galleria is the new project by the Pearson Lloyd studio for Tacchini: a system that […]
Created in 1958 for the interior of the Chamber of Commerce of Milan, this chair is designed to combine comfort and stackability. The same concept was revived for contemporary settings, but with a fundamental difference: unlike the iron frame of the original project, it is now in warm ash wood.
Split expresses an elegant, immediately recognisable character, aside from its size, form and colour that lend coherence to the most diverse solutions and compositions in any given space. This is the concept behind the Split collection, a complete system of tables for both the home and contract interior, available in four different forms: coffee table, […]
The Tetris modular concept from Inclass is conceived as a set of upholstered geometric units, where different seats, backrests, armrests, panels and side tables can be combined to create an infinite array of forms that can be rearranged to optimise the space in each installation. The modular design of the Tetris concept even allows the […]
Fackel is the German word for the medieval wall torches that released naked flames on the walls of castles and convents._ Inspired by these ancient lamps, Umberto Bellardi Ricci bends a metal bar in two points and lets it run parallel to the wall, onto which he projects a warm and suggestive glow, similar to […]
