The Tokyo-Pop collection marks, in 2002, the debut on the international scene by Tokujin Yoshioka, now considered one of the masters of contemporary design. Design has recently begun to reread the last 80s, a period full of hedonistic sings. Ludovica and Roberto Palomba embrace this input in a collection for driade that combines some of this aesthetic hallmarks as straight cast-aluminium structure elegantly painted and damier decoration.
“MT”, or the initials that calls these pieces designed by Ron Arad, are pronounced in English as “empty”. The void is the key element of this project.
