Lazada
Designed by Nicola Gallizia
The initial idea for DUCA was a light source able to take up where the concept of the classical bedside lamp had left off, reinventing its shape, combining it with a very soft, indirect light, of which it is almost impossible to perceive the source but which lights up the table and beside table area accurately and efficiently. Fascinated by theatrical lighting, which takes the origin of the source away from the eye and only allows itself to be detected in the beam on the front of stage, Nicola Gallizia works on structural subtraction to focus on the lighting effect, entrusting the light with task of revealing itself.

If Pipistrello has succeeded up until now in remaining always current and fascinating, it is not just thanks to its style and the design ingenuity of Gae Aulenti. Merit also goes to the company?s desire to dare and to re-propose it in different colors, dimensions and uses to better answer a continuously evolving market.
The Bloom Table lights? super-elliptical form is inspired by the gentle dynamic flow of paper lanterns. Its glorious lit effect is the result of transparency and light. Two contrasting materials ? a finely perforated mesh core and frosted blown glass, combine to project a soft focus texture onto the inside of the shade.
