The Pikaia chair is designed to support the back fully. The curve of the backrest easily and comfortably follows the natural curve of the spine. The polyurethane shell, however, also allows for flexibility letting you lean back slightly. Like the human body is constantly in motion, the chair moves with it in a natural and supportive fashion.

The chair, inspired by a model from 1930 by Josef Hoffmann, blends his interest in Art Nouveau and simple shapes with manufacturing processes applied in Bystrice pod Hostynem since 1861. The armchair is therefore more geometrical, but bears the clear features of the manual bending technique of TON.
