Designers Jakob Thau & Sami Kallio turn things inside out with their chair that features usually hidden seat webbing as a design element. Crafted using natural linen fibers, the flexible webbing seat cradles the the body for maximum comfort. BettyÕs single-piece wooden frame is lightweight yet inherently stable and the chair is stackable.
The Jom bed was created with the concept of the coromandel screen from the Tang Dynasty. It captures the traditional style of art and aesthetic while inheriting the function of sheltering, partition, and decoration. The fully upholstered bed creates a cozy feeling.
The seat section of uniform plywood is broken by the unconventional connections between the legs. The legs pass through the seat emphasizing the structural construction which is also a design detail. The effect is outstanding in the two-color version.
