The Mate tables by award-winning German designer Sebastian Herkner are created with the idea of becoming a companion in the daily life of its user, akin other objects that serve an inherent purpose in the everyday.
While the air bubbles in the glass dome of the IRIS luminaire, created by designer Sebastian Herkner, are reminiscent of underwater worlds,unlike the portable version, the on/off switch is protruding and has a knurled rotary knob. The diamond knurling gives this a tactile touch and breaks up the clean design of the aluminium base.
