Designed by Riccardo Blumer
With Lanuda chair, Riccardo Blumer evolves his design research on seats, moving from the wood of Laleggera designed in 1996 to aluminium. Even if Laleggera and Lanuda embody the same principle of essential subtraction – the former employing minimal wood thicknesses in a box structure, the latter using aluminium sheets crafted following a reticu- lar logic – it is with Lanuda that this research reaches its extreme limit. The seat takes shape from ten aluminium sheets with a thickness of just 2 mm, which undergo a process of laser cutting and drilling to the maximum possible limit, reducing the surface area to a minimum and making the seat, in fact, nude, in italian ?La-nuda? means ?The-nude?. The result is a stackable chair characterised by a rich and complex desi- gn. A special processing of aluminium creates a series of triangulations with structural membranes that are folded and secured by mechanical rivets.

Beech rods bent according to a modern technology, seat shaped by modern production methods and contemporary design. The Tram chair connects everything that is typical for TON today. Its lines simplify any interior and are available in a version with armrests or upholstery.
Created in 1958 for the interior of the Chamber of Commerce of Milan, this chair is designed to combine comfort and stackability. The same concept was revived for contemporary settings, but with a fundamental difference: unlike the iron frame of the original project, it is now in warm ash wood.
Characterized by the embracing shell and stiletto legs, Lago is enhanced by it’s intensifying bright colors that deliberately smooth the entire surface.
The Merano chair combines the bottom design made of solid wood with harmonic shapes of bent plywood in the seat and backrest. Thanks to the production technology used, it is remarkably light and does not contain any screws or metal pieces. Together with the bar stool, it creates a set with the Merano armchair.
