Virgo is a structure which becomes a bookcase but, in fact, leads us to think about concave and convex surfaces relation as about the energy of a tightrope. The composition of force is clearly expressed in the final equilibrium. The sculptural form of Virgo makes it usable both on the wall and, above all, as centre-room.

The modernist Corbel Shelf is a wall-hung podium that combines contrasting materials to arresting effect. The invention of design studio Kroyer-Saetter-Lassen, the versatile design in marble, oak and plated steel takes its name and design cues from architectural weight-bearing brackets traditionally made from stone or wood.
Antonia Astori calls ‘memory furniture’ those pieces which tell something about people attention to indoor living. An attention expressed both by the recovery of disappeared archetypes, eg. canopy bed, and in precious materials manufacturing, eg. pleached roped steel headboard.
Very lucidly, Enzo Mari decided to realize this tables collection with transparent crystal tops in order to valorise the harsh simplicity of steel sections bases. Designed in 1973 for Driade, uninterruptedly producted since then, these pieces can be certainly numbered among the most successful of the Milan master.
