Tau, borrows its name and shape from the Greek alphabet. A return to the essentials of language, a timeless dialogue. The object is on the border between a sculpture and an architectural building, it is functional through its light.

Bringing the soft illumination of its pendant predecessor, the Lantern Table Lamp extends this iconic family. Inspired by the traditional Chinese rice paper lantern, the frosted glass form replicates that weightless glow. Firmly keeping this sculptural shape centre stage, a simple black steel base raises up its warm glow.
With direct reference to the anecdote of the apple falling on Isaac Newton?s head, suggesting the existence of gravity, Newton?s metal diffuser rotates and enlightens the natural element in a mix of direct and diffused light.
