Designed by Vico Magistretti
Paola is a simple but original seating project, the details make the difference and demonstrate how the design can always remain current over the years. Vico Magistretti, historic designer of universal designer projects, designs a chair with a solid yet exceptionally light appearance. The structure is in walnut or gray stained ash wood with a non-removable padded seat. A slight helical rotation outlines the rear legs when they become the supports for the slightly inclined and curved backrest. Paola is a stackable and light chair, ideal in any environment.

For many years now, Atollo has no longer been a lamp, or rather, it has no longer been just a lamp. It has become a myth, an icon: one of the best know symbols of Italian design wordwide, one of the very few products which people recognise and call with its own name. Designed by […]

In 1952, on the shores of the French Riviera, Le Corbusier built ‘Cabanon’: the absolute archetype of essential living. The project, executed according to the rules of the Modulor, is found just a stone?s throw away from the sea and served as a refuge for the architect in his final years. Lampe Cabanon, named after […]

Inspired by the Japanese pine tree in the ground, the BrichetZiegler studio carved this lighting object with mastery and precision. Niwaki is an artificial plant. Carved for the wind, it seems to float and glide through the air. Its finish reflects a balance between work and humility, this lamp is orga(mecha)nic.
Lesbo designed in 1967 represents one of the symbols of the made in Italy design of the 7s, characterized by its particular mushroom shape. The hand-blown diffuser creates fascinating interactions with light. The frosted white colour conceals the light source and guides the light beam upwards, creating a soft and atmospheric light that highlights the […]
